The early bird flew away...

Thank you all for signing up early and getting the early bird price. The price of RM 110 for christians is no longer available...it is now officially RM 150.

However, for non-Christians, the camp fees will remain at RM80. Seriously, for 3D/2N stay at Genting Highlands, its a steal! So do continue to sign up! Its not too late yet.

There are 33 campers so far! Praise God for that! The more, the merrier.

Coming up...

Its time to reveal our camp t-shirt design...

9 November:
Oh, I've just checked with my friends. Okayla, only a few have confirmed that they will go. Some of them not sure...I'll just wait and see what they do, then I'll follow la.

14 November:
Oh most of them are going. Okay, I think I'll go. What do I need in order to sign up. Sign up form, money...easy la. Oh...I need to ask my parents. Aiya, I'll do it tomorrow la.

15 November:
Oops..I forgot to ask mum. I'll ask her tomorrow. Promise.

Okay, dad says ok! Now I need the form. Where did I put the form that my friend gave me? Shucks...I think I lost it. Now I need to print it out.

I forgot to bring the money yesterday. Oh no! Deadline is day after tomorrow. And tomorrow is Saturday! No school, I can't pass it to my friend!

Meet our camp speaker...

Everyone, meet Moks...

If you're wondering why he's got such a funny name...the name Moks came by because of the initials of his name (Malvin Ong Kim Seng). His real name is Malvin..but he goes by with the name Moks.

As many of you may have known, Moks is one of the youth leaders at DUMC Church and has been actively serving in the youth ministry for more than 15 years. Thats a reaaaaallly long time...some of you haven't even lived for 15 years yet!

After his tertiary education, he decided to go to Bible School in Singapore, and he graduated from Bible School in 2006. He then started a tuition business to inspire young people not only to excel in their studies, but also to encourage them to be lead a relevant lifestyle in their school as well.

His motivation in life is to transform one student at a time and be remembered as a teacher who teaches from the heart and not just form the head. He believes young people have the creativity, ability and productivity to do great things that can bring a significant difference in the society.

On a side note, he just got married in March 2010. So sorry ladies...he's taken! HAHA!

Lets check out the place!

Last March, Derek, Esther and I headed over to our camp site to check out the place. Just managed to get a few photos of the place...

The camp site is actually a huge standalone bungalow/villa with three floors. Lowest floor is the big hall, 2nd floor are dorms and the eating place and top floor are with rooms and dorms.

The hall towards the back

The hall towards to front

The view overlooking Genting View Resort from the villa.

From the first floor, you can climb up a zillion flights of stairs and reach...

A smallish open field to chillout and play some not so aggressive games

The makan area on the 1st floor, all meals will be served here

These are the dorms, double decker beds and all of us in one room.
DO look forward to midnight chats, laughter and fun...but just make sure you don't wake the sleeping ones up.

As you can see, it is basic, no basketball court, no pool, no big football field. But hey, we got a big hall so think of some indoor games or board games. I'm sure we'll still have as much fun. :)
